The Dread Machine is a volunteer-run organization. We know how valuable your time and efforts are, and we don’t take them for granted, so here’s what we do to show our gratitude:
All contributors are credited clearly and explicitly for their role in each project’s production. In videos and podcast episodes, credits are presented before and after the piece. Volunteers are featured on our About page, also. All works you have a hand in will be tied to your profile, so friends, family, and employers can easily find an entire catalog of every dreadful creation you’ve helped bring to life.
We provide written recommendations, testimonials, and reviews, and are willing to serve as references, should you ever need us to. As a group, we work to ensure your time investment pays off in quality industry experience that you’ll be proud to put on your resume. We will happily vouch for you and promote your services.
Volunteers receive all the benefits paid subscribers do, and then some. In addition to the typical subscriber benefits, volunteers receive 20% off everything in our store.
We know exposure doesn’t pay the bills. If you do not have the time to give, please don’t feel compelled to apply. This is our passion, and we would never expect anyone to make personal sacrifices for it unless they truly felt it was a worthwhile endeavor.
The easiest way to get involved is to join our Discord server. Either summon The Elder Gods (@Elder Gods) by tagging them in the General channel, or reach out to Alin (@Alin) directly via DM. Alternatively, you can apply using the buttons below. Tell us what skills you’re willing to share, show us some samples of your work, and let us know what your availability is. We can’t wait to work with you!
Gatekeepers read ten incoming submissions each week, appending a rating to each and providing commentary explaining their reasoning.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Our social media needs are modest—post twice a day on our Twitter and find positive, lighthearted ways to engage with our friends and supporters.
If you have a quality recording setup and some narration experience, we’d love your help with our Youtube channel and podcast!
Are you a creative video editor who likes to get weird with it? Please reach out! We’re looking for four editors willing to edit one video each month.
